Summary
On April 20, 2022, the Bureau of Automotive Repair will host a public workshop to discuss proposed regulations on automotive repair dealer (ARD) application requirements.
As provided by AB 471 (Low, Chapter 372, Statutes of 2021), the draft regulations would define “nationally recognized and industry-accepted educational certifications” and establish a process for Bureau review and approval of educational certifications that do not meet this definition. The regulations would establish a process for recognizing both types of educational certifications on the ARD application.
