Citation Review Panel
Established by Assembly Bill 471 (Low, Chapter 372, Statutes of 2021), the BAR Citation Review Panel considers and makes recommendations on informal appeals requested by individuals who received a citation for violation of the Automotive Repair Act. The three-member panel consists of a BAR representative and a volunteer from the public and the automotive repair industry. The panel participates in citation review conferences by teleconference. Consistent with the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act, conferences are open to the public except when specifically noticed otherwise.

Apply to serve as a panel member
Consumers and industry representatives interested in serving on the citation review panel are encouraged to complete an application. Applicants are asked to provide information on their experience with automotive repairs and any prior participation in BAR programs and services. Vacant positions on multiple panels may be available.
