Change of information


Licensees must notify BAR within 14 days of any changes to the following information:

  • Name
  • Address (address of record and mailing)
  • Phone number
  • Email

Change your information 

California law requires BAR to post a licensee's address of record on its website. Any enforcement action taken against a license is also posted. (California Business and Professions Code section 27)

You may provide a post office box or work address as your address of record. Be sure to also provide a mailing address to receive important notices from BAR.

For faster processing, we encourage you to submit a change request online. You may submit a paper form by mail, but please note that processing may take longer for mailed requests.
