Streamlining Licensure: Online Applications in Development
Applying for a license is about to get easier! The Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) is developing online applications for station, inspector, and technician licenses. An online automotive repair dealer registration application is currently available to applicants at www.bar.ca.gov.
The new online license applications will offer many benefits to applicants including the ability to:
- Apply for a license conveniently online
- Upload required documentation
- Pay application fees
- Save an in-process application and complete at a later time
- Review and clear deficiencies
- Receive processing notifications and receipts by email
Online applications will help to reduce processing times and simplify the initial licensure process for applicants. Additional online services including an updated license renewal feature and a new license update feature are also planned for future release.
