New Consumer Assistance Program Webpage Launched

In January 2020, the Bureau of Automotive Repair launched an updated Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) webpage. The webpage features a new design to improve usability and access to important program information allowing consumers to make a more informed decision about retiring or repairing their vehicle. Application information has been simplified into step-by-step instructions and consumers can now determine income eligibility before submitting their application using an income eligibility calculator. Consumers can also check their application status online and obtain information on when program eligibility determinations have been made. The update is part of BAR’s ongoing effort to improve and enhance its online services and accessibility for consumers, industry, and other key stakeholders.
